KRØYERS PLADS – COPENHAGEN DENMARK
Green building in the heart of Copenhagen’s old city
The challenge
Krøyers Plads is an exciting new build in the heart of Copenhagen’s old city with a history dating back to 1747.
It’s a challenging build because of its location and historical importance. And it’s also a very important build, as it’s the first site to be built under Denmark’s new stringent codes for green building, the so-called Nordic Swan or Svanemaerket codes.
So there are strict rules for construction.
The project is a mix of 20,000 m2 of offices, retail and housing. All of it needs to live up to Danish BR 15 energy regulations and will be visually green, with one façade and the roof covered with vegetation.
